I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I have 6 days until the Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Run, and it looks like the weather is going to cooperate on Sunday.
I didn’t make it out for Sunday’s run, because unfortunately I had a sick little girl. Saturday morning we got up and went to have our hair done by my dear friend, Jen.
I decided to stick with my natural hair color, but have Jen add some dark red highlights, and just a few blonde strands. What do ya’ll think?!
After our hair cuts we headed to the bridal shop to get Kenzer fitted for her dress. We wanted to beat the prom season rush as far as her alterations are concerned because you just NEVER KNOW WHEN we might decide to run off to tie the knot. 😉 I tried my dress on again and we had the opportunity to get our picture snapped together. (Can you believe I needed NO alterations for mine?! It fit perfectly right from the maker)
After the bridal shop we decided to stop by Alfie’s mom’s house to visit with her for a little bit, and just about that time my mini-me started to look pretty rough. I got her home as soon as I could and got her bundled up. Poor thing was congested and had a fever the rest of the night and all day Sunday.
I’m writing this Sunday evening, while we watch You’ve Got Mail. I’m hoping she’s able to go to school tomorrow, but we shall see.
As for this week’s dinners—My April/May edition of Clean Eating Magazine came on Thursday, and I am LOVING the recipes! I’ve decided to make three of them this week:
Monday – Lemon Terragon Chicken Fricassee (from Clean Eating)
Tuesday – Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Bell Peppers
Wednesday – Peanut Chicken & Soba Noodles (from Clean Eating)
Thursday – Chicken Picatta w/ Lemon Butter & Garlic Sauteed Broccoli (from Clean Eating)
Friday – Wing it (leftovers maybe?)
On a side note and speaking of food, I tried these over the weekend:
I added them to our chili for a little added boost, and I must say it was SO GOOD! Highly recommend!
