Fitness Friday, February Review & March Happenings!

 

I woke up this morning at 5:00 with every intention of getting to the gym super early and getting home to make some sweet potato hash with eggs for breakfast.

I turned off the alarm, and didn’t roll out of bed until almost 5:45. (oops!) Threw on my gym clothes, sucked down a cup of coffee, and headed to the gym for a quick and dirty shoulder & arm workout.

By the time I got home I realized I wouldn’t have time for my original breakfast plan, but remember I had an empty jar of almond butter waiting for me to make some OIAJ!! If you follow me on Instagram, you know that was a fail as well:

Workouts this week have been fairly haphazard, and I only made it in 3 days! Here’s what the week looked like:

  • Tuesday – Chest & Back
  • Wednesday – Legs
  • Friday – Shoulders & Arms

Something is better than nothing of course, but I’m looking forward to getting my routine back on track.

With that being said—it could be awhile! You’ll see why when I get to what’s happening in March.

 

February Review -

I still can’t get over that we’re in the last day of February! However, winter is far from gone. We’re expecting a foot of snow here in Central PA between Saturday and Sunday.

February has been fairly crazy!

I bought myself some new running kicks to gear up for the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 mile Run that is just about 5 weeks away! I also shared a HIIT Treadmill workout with ya’ll. This workout has been making running indoors a tad bit more bearable.

If you remember, I mentioned to you guys that I had a tad bit of an accident while sledding at the beginning of this month! I’m not sure if I ever told you guys, but my pinky is most definitely broken. I’ve been wearing a splint and I have one more week to go. It’s made lifting a tad challenging, but I’ve managed to work around it. The splint is more of a nuisance than anything, but I’m afraid to not wear it because if I hit my pinky in just the right spot it hurts like hell. I’m afraid I’ll make it worse if I don’t wear it.

We’ve made HUGE strides on the house! I painted Kenzer’s room:

Alfie thought it would be funny to put Jakey in one of his company jackets and make it look like he was working on the floors:

Another exciting event that took place this month— my Kenzer, singing in her talent show. You guys…… I was SO stinking proud of her! (the video is shaking during the interlude because I was totally chair dancing. And yes, that was me yelling “WOOOOO” at the end.) :)

 

The last bit of good news for February actually came last evening! You are talking to one of the newest FitFluential Ambassadors!!! I was SO stinking excited when I received that email last night! I can’t wait to get started and to be able to bring even more valuable information to all my readers.

 

March Happenings –

 

This month is going to be pretty cray cray as well. I have lots of training to do to get ready for this 10 mile run in April.

Not to mention, we’re starting to gather boxes for packing for the move. Kenzer and I are actually going to start this weekend by packing up some things we don’t use frequently, but that we want to take with us.

We’re also going to be getting our townhouse ready to be rented! Kenzer and I are going to do a thorough cleaning this weekend and take pictures of the house to make a flyer to be handed out at the local medical center. We’re hoping to have it rented by June 1st, and that it will be one or two of the residents from the med center.

I’m also starting out March on a high note by having lunch this Sunday with this lovely lady! I’m very thankful for local ‘blends’. And I have a feeling her life is about to go in to overdrive as she gears up for her wedding in May! Gotta get together while we can! :)

One last little event taking place on the Ides of March—this gal will be LEAVING behind the title of being in her “early thirties”, and will officially be in her “mid-thirties”. I’m trying not to fret. I have a feeling 35 is going to be a great age!
