If you remember, I recently started working with a training/nutrition coach. You can read about that here. Julie has been amazing!! I have been eating like a BOSS lately. At first I was panicked about eating as much as Julie asked me to, but I have been keeping the faith. And I’m down 4 pounds!
Not to mention, I have had a boat load more energy. Despite feeling under the weather this morning, I even attempted- just for the heck of it- a PR in dead lifts for me this morning:
I only did one set of 8 reps just for the heck of it. But I did it!! And I realized I need stronger forearms. lol
A little bit of leg day humor for you:
Julie has had me mixing in some HIIT cardio 4 days a week, and I’ve begun to really enjoy the stationery bike! I haven’t run a lick since the Harrisburg Half, and I can’t say that I miss it. Or that I’m sad I’m hanging up the running shoes for a while.
If you remember also, I was kind of in a funk about the atmosphere in my gym. That has been solved by going in the early morning hours. It doesn’t feel so much like Match.com anymore. lol
I won’t give away all of Julie’s secrets, but here’s the body part splits she’s had me doing over the last two weeks:
|Heavy Leg Day|
So far so good! I’m really excited to see what kind of progress we make over the next 5 weeks, and I look forward to introducing all of you to her in the near future!
I will be going “off the grid” from Thursday through Sunday this week (more on that tomorrow). So if anyone would like to do a guest post for Thursday or Friday, please let me know! You can shoot me an email at jennywellnessjourney at gmail dot com
Have a great day everyone!!
Have you every worked with a trainer/nutrition coach before?
